To enable and accelerate software and agent distribution across any channel so that builders can bring innovation to market in days, not years.

Our Story

We started Omnistrate in 2022 as a team of cloud infrastructure experts with a big idea.

We saw that the engineering overhead of supporting diverse distribution channels was a multi-year hurdle. We knew teams could move significantly faster if they had a way to abstract away that underlying infrastructure complexity.

We created a universal distribution platform that helps software companies build a private label control plane to run their application stacks natively in any environment and support any distribution model—SaaS, PaaS, BYOC or on-premises (Air-Gapped).

Since our inception as part of the Y Combinator Winter 2023 batch, we have helped organizations bypass years of development to unlock new revenue streams in days.

Our Leaders

Our leaders are industry pioneers who hold over 50 US patents and have architected more than half-a-dozen foundational services like the first AWS control plane and Confluent's Kafka Cloud. We combine this technical pedigree with a track record of scaling global infrastructure to multi-billion dollar revenues and leading go-to-market strategy through high-stakes acquisitions to build the next generation of cloud abstractions.

Kamal Gupta (Founder and CEO)

Kamal is an industry pioneer with over 12 years of leadership at AWS, where he was a founding member of the AWS control plane team and later scaled the Aurora MySQL organization into a multi-billion dollar business. In addition to his decade-plus at Amazon, he led Kafka engineering at Confluent as a General Manager and holds more than 30 patents, earning prestigious honors such as the ACM SIGMOD Systems Award. He earned his Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from IIT Guwahati.

Alok Nikhil (Founder and CTO)

Alok brings deep technical authority as the original author of Aurora Serverless, a role he held during his tenure at AWS where his work revolutionized data systems. He has a proven track record of scaling massive infrastructure, including increasing AWS networking performance by 15x and scaling Confluent Cloud throughput by 5x. He holds multiple patents in database management and distributed systems and earned his Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.

Pablo Bertón (Head of Engineering)

Pablo offers over 20 years of software expertise, including Microsoft, AWS and Confluent building control planes for core database services like Amazon RDS and Aurora, and then later for Kafka Cloud at Confluent. A Stanford-certified innovator with an MBA, he has a long history of leading high-impact engineering teams to deliver mission-critical cloud services.

Amit Sharma (India Site Lead)

Amit is a seasoned engineering leader with 25+ years of experience across enterprise software, startups, and deep-tech platforms. After spending over 7 years at Infosys leading large-scale engineering programs, he went on to found and lead multiple startups as CEO for more than a decade. Today, as India Site Lead at Omnistrate, Amit brings founder-level execution, strong product instincts, and deep technical leadership to building scalable, enterprise-grade platforms.

Kristine Newman (Head of Marketing)

Kristine brings 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Most recently, she served as VP of Marketing at Shoreline.io, leading marketing through its 2024 acquisition by NVIDIA. She began her career with an eight-year tenure at Accenture, where she led global software implementations, followed by leadership roles at Burson Global and SalientMG. She has advised numerous B2B technology startups on go-to-market strategy, product launches, and market expansion.
